More Pizza Pops recalled due to possible contamination

By Wilfred Fraser Jan 26, 2026 | 1:35 PM

Do you have pizza pops in your freezer?

You should check the packaging before you eat them.

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency says a recall of the product has been expanded due to a possible E. coli contamination.

The original recall was of pepperoni and bacon Pizza Pops last December.

The CFIA now says the recall includes three-cheese, pepperoni, pepperoni and bacon, three-meat, and deluxe flavours.

A complete list of products, quantities, and dates affected is available on the Government of Canada’s recalls and safety alerts page.

The recall was triggered by findings by the CFIA during its investigation into a foodborne illness outbreak.

The CFIA says food that is contaminated with E. coli 026 might not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick. Recalled products should not be consumed, used, sold, or distributed and should be thrown out or returned to the purchase location.

E. coli symptoms can include nausea, vomiting, mild to severe abdominal cramps, and watery or bloody diarrhea.

If you think you became sick from consuming a recalled product, contact your healthcare provider.

The CFIA is continuing their food safety investigation, which may lead to the recall of other products.
