Witnesses, videos wanted after police chase and shooting that left man dead: SiRT

The province’s police watchdog is asking for the public’s help finding witnesses and video footage of a shooting involving RCMP that left one man dead.

SiRT says the man driving a blue Honda Civic on January 13 between Hwy 14 in Upper Rawdon to Brooklyn and ended up Hwy 236 at the intersection of Hwy 202 in Clarksville between 7:45 a.m. and 9 a.m.

The man driving the vehicle was the subject of an emergency alert.

According to RCMP he was armed and involved in a high-speed chase with police.

After the vehicle was stopped, shots were fired and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
