One man has been arrested and charged in connection to a series of robberies at several locations in Dartmouth.
Halifax Regional Police responded to calls from January 8th through the 11th. They say all of the robberies were similar in nature with each incident taking place between 7:30 and 11:00 p.m. at various businesses.
On January 8th, two masked suspects entered the Petro Canada on Portland Street and proceeded to spray employees with a sensory irritant before taking money, cigarettes, and lottery tickets. They fled the scene on foot.
Police say from January 9th to 11th that one man robbed other Dartmouth stores including Irving and Esso gas stations and a Woodlawn convenience store following the same process. The HRP K9 Unit responded but were unable to locate the suspect.
On January 13th police identified one suspect as a 35-year-old man who is now scheduled to appear in court to face charges of robbery and failing to comply with probation.
