A long-term ramp closure on Highway 111 began Thursday as part of the Windsor Street Exchange project.

 The ramp from Massachusetts Avenue to Highway 111 toward the Windsor Street Exchange and Bedford Highway is closed, with a marked detour in place until overpass construction is complete by the end of 2027.

 Access from Massachusetts Avenue toward the MacKay Bridge remains open.

 Drivers should expect reduced speeds of 50 km/h in the construction zone, where rumble strips have been installed for safety.

 Halifax Transit routes 135, 136, 137 and 138 will continue to follow detour routes.
