More wicked weather on the way

Get the shovels and ice picks ready.

Environment Canada has once again issued special weather statements with forecasts of up to 15 centimetres of snow, the potential for 4 to 6 hours of freezing rain and up to 20 millimetres of rain, expected.

The southern, southeastern and central parts are affected, including Moncton and the southeast, Saint John and County, Fundy, St. Stephen and northern Charlotte, Fredericton, Sussex, Kennebecasis and Kings County.

This is due to a low-pressure system that is expected to track across Nova Scotia, bringing wintry weather to New Brunswick.

It is all expected to start on Wednesday morning and continue until Thursday morning.

This is similar to another storm system that rolled through the province on New Year’s Day.
