The Yarmouth Mariners are hoping for a strong start to 2026.

They’re hosting the league-leading Truro Bearcats in their first home game of the new year tonight at 7.

The Mariners finished 2025 with a 4-1 win in the Valley on New Year’s Eve afternoon.

Yarmouth currently sits five points back of Pictou County for the last playoff spot in the Eastlink South Division.

The MHL’s trade deadline is about a week away.
