A new CEO has been named for the Inverness Municipal Housing Corporation that oversees two long-term care homes and two small option homes.

The municipality says Frank Nelson will assume the role, bringing with him 30 years of senior leadership experience, succeeding Stephen Doiron.

Nelson spent 17 years as a nursing home administrator in large, long-term care organizations and more than ten years of management experience directing a not-for-profit healthcare organization.

“I’m thrilled to have an opportunity to share my experience and knowledge so close to home and look forward to advancing the County of Inverness Municipal Housing Corporation’s many initiatives to improve care for residents, their caregivers, and the dedicated staff in each of our facilities,” said Nelson.

Nelson will assume the position on December 8.
