Saint John police say Operation Safe Streets is continuing in Waterloo Village and the uptown business district.
The initiative ran over three separate days in November and involved officers on foot, bike, and in vehicles.
Police said the goal is to increase visibility, disrupt criminal activity, and restore a sense of safety in the community.
The operation led to 21 foot patrols and 24 business visits, according to Saint John police.
Officers reported five arrests, three open drug encounters, six warnings, and eight motor vehicle tickets.
The Quick Reaction Team will continue to focus on visibility and enforcement, while responding to specific community needs in the area, police said.
“We appreciate the support and feedback from our community members with our Safe Streets initiative,” Chief Robert Bruce said in a release.
