A new CEO for the Mariners Centre.

Dave Tompkins will join the facility in January.

He comes from Charlottetown, PEI where he held a senior leadership role at the Royalty Centre.

In a release, the Mariners Centre board says Tompkins brings extensive experience in multi-use recreation management, community programming and facility operations.

He’s going to lead the way as the Mariners Centre expands to the Credit Union Rec Plex, with a new pool, fitness centre and walking track.

Chair Daniel Muise says he’s an ideal fit as they move into the next stage of growth.
