The City of Dieppe says the boil water order issued on Wednesday after a water main break has now been lifted.
The break happened at the corner of Fortune and Dolbeau Streets.
Residents in nearby neighbourhoods were told to boil their water for at least one minute before drinking it or using it in food preparation.
The city said the measure applied to infant formulas, brushing teeth, making ice, and preparing coffee or tea.

With the advisory lifted, officials are asking residents to flush cold taps for 10 to 15 minutes.
Hot taps should run for at least 15 minutes for a 40‑gallon tank and 30 minutes for tanks of 80 gallons or more.
The city also said refrigerator water dispensers should be cleared with at least one litre of water, and automatic ice makers should be emptied of ice made during the boil water order, along with any ice produced in the following 24 hours.
Dieppe officials said anyone who notices low water pressure or discoloured water should contact the city.
