Fire crews in Saint John spent hours Monday morning battling a blaze in a detached garage on Loch Lomond Road.

The City of Saint John said the call came in around 4:30 a.m. Monday, reporting heavy fire in a two‑storey garage at 68 Loch Lomond Road.

The fire crews got to work on putting out the fire and spent about four hours on site to get everything under control.

No injuries were reported, and the fire did not spread to the nearby home on the property.

A fire investigator has been called in to determine the cause of the fire.
