The late Peter Baylis was recognized in the House of Commons.

Dartmouth-Cole Harbour MP Darren Fisher honoured the Halifax Mooseheads anthem singer, who passed away last week from brain cancer.

“His voice rising through the arena, clear and steady. A moment that fans like me came to treasure,” said Fisher.

Fisher called Baylis a remarkable Nova Scotian, who was devoted to the Halifax music and theatre scene.

The Mooseheads held a pre-game ceremony this past weekend, ending with a recording of Baylis performing O’Canada.
