A retired RCMP Officer charged with sexual assault was expected to appear in court today, but the case was postponed.
The Province’s Police Watchdog, Serious Incident Response Team (SiRT) has charged Sergeant Darrell W. Johnson with three counts of sexual assault.
The occurrences allegedly happened while the officer was a member of the RCMP and after his retirement between 2016 to 2021.
The charges relate to incidents involving a woman known to him.
He is now expected to appear before the Nova Scotia Provincial Court in Port Hawkesbury on December 15 at 2 p.m.
