A Saint John-based digital health company is getting support from the provincial government as it works to expand beyond New Brunswick.
MedReddie is developing proprietary machine learning and artificial intelligence models that continuously search and analyze advancements in the medical device industry.
Combined with its background in device procurement, the technology helps health-care organizations develop request-for-proposal questions that align with clinical needs and available medical equipment.
“This investment enables us to accelerate MedReddie’s global growth and scale our revolutionary artificial intelligence agent,” founder and CEO Kara LeBlanc said in a press release from Opportunities New Brunswick.
The investment is a $25,000 non-repayable market development contribution.
Opportunities New Brunswick Minister Luke Randall said the company is an example of an innovative New Brunswick digital health company creating smart solutions for health-care systems while expanding its presence in global markets.
“We are proud to support MedReddie as they leverage artificial intelligence to improve health-care procurement and efficiency,” Randall said in a release.
MedReddie is expected to use the funding for targeted marketing activities, attending medical technology conferences and engaging a market consultant to help with global connections.
