In a marathon that will go down in history, the Toronto Blue Jays fell 6-5 to the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 3 of the 2025 World Series, giving the Dodgers a 2-1 lead in the best-of-seven.

The contest lasted 18 innings — tied for the longest in Fall Classic history — and ended when Freddie Freeman crushed a leadoff homer in the bottom of the 18th.

Toronto had taken a 5-4 lead in the 7th on a two-out rally, but the Dodgers, powered by Shohei Ohtani (two homers, two doubles, and a record-nine times on base), battled back and dug in.

The Blue Jays showed resilience — including a three-run home run by Alejandro Kirk in the 4th — but eventually fatigue and missed opportunities took their toll.

With Game 4 coming up in Los Angeles, the Jays must regroup quickly or run out of lifelines.
