Mariners gain point in Truro, fall to Summerside

A pair of defeats away from home for the Yarmouth Mariners.

They started the two-game trip with a late lead in Truro Friday night, but got scored on the final minute and went on to lose 3-2 in a shootout.

The tying goal came with 28 seconds left.

Ryder MacQueen and Louis-Carl Tremblay scored for the Mariners, Keegan Warren was named the game’s second star with 35 saves.

Yarmouth then fell 4-1 to the Caps Saturday night, Grayson Pardy scoring their lone goal, and Warren stopping 23 shots.

The Mariners now have six wins and seven losses, along with two defeats in extra time.

They are 2-5-0-1 on the road this season.

They kick off a six-game homestand against Summerside on Halloween night, then Miramichi this Saturday.
