One person was arrested after an inspection at an Annapolis County fish plant.
It was at a commercial plant in Delaps Cove last Thursday.
Department of Fisheries officers sized 112 crates of lobsters and released over 8,000 lobsters back to the ocean.
The arrest was for the illegal purchase of lobster caught for food, social and ceremonial purposes.
DFO says lobster may be harvested for those purposes, but it’s illegal to sell or trade it.
