A man in Yarmouth is facing 18 charges.
It comes after two people were assaulted inside a home in Little River Harbour last Friday night.
Rural RCMP say the man had a replica firearm, and left in a stolen vehicle.
Later he returned and tried to set the house on fire, it was quickly extinguished by someone in the home.
The man left again, the vehicle was later discovered and he was arrested on Vancouver Street.
The 25-year-old remains in custody after a court appearance yesterday.
