People came out in droves to the Moncton and Riverview Fire departments over the weekend.
Open houses were held as part of Fire Prevention Week.
Raising awareness of lithium-ion batteries is the theme for this year.
“These batteries, found in many devices such as toys, power tools, baby monitors, portable chargers, electronics and vaping products, are very energy dense and can be vulnerable to damage, heat and short circuits,” explains Dieppe Fire Chief Marc Cormier.
If you missed Saturday’s events, you can head to Dieppe this coming Saturday.
The Gauvin Road fire station will hold its open house from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
