Mariners fall to Crushers in tight game on the road

A close one in New Glasgow for the Yarmouth Mariners,

They fell short 4-3 to the Pictou County Crushers Thursday night, dropping their record to 2-4.

Yarmouth took a 2-0 lead on two powerplay goals by Louis-Carl Tremblay and Grayson Pardy in the first period.

But the Crushers would score the next four, including three in the second period.

The Mariners added a late third period goal from Ewan Cleary to make it close.

Keegan Warren took the loss in goal making 22 saves, Justin Garneau was named third star with two assists.

The Mariners host Truro Friday night.
