The Lake George wildfire is still burning out of control in the Annapolis Valley.

In an update Thursday morning on X, the Department of Natural Resources says the size is now estimated at 245 hectares based on more accurate measurement. They previously estimated it to be 290 hectares.

There are no reports of damage to structures.

DNR says crews are facing challenging conditions with another dry, windy day.

The department says there are 23 DNR and 20 local firefighters on site, 4 NWT planes, 2 Newfoundland planes, 2 contracted helicopters, and 18 pieces of heavy equipment building fire breaks.
