By Brad Perry Sep 25, 2025 | 3:55 PM

Crews continue to battle three out-of-control wildfires in New Brunswick.

The largest in Queens County remains at an estimated 650 hectares in size.

The blaze between Chipman and Canaan Forks has been burning since Saturday.

Another fire burning near Baie-Sainte-Anne in eastern New Brunswick stands at just under 90 hectares.

A third blaze located northeast of McAdam was listed at around 3.5 hectares in size.

Seven other fires were also burning as of late Thursday afternoon. One was under control and the rest were being patrolled.

Much of southern New Brunswick remains under a burn ban, including Albert, Charlotte, Kent, Kings, Queens, Saint John and Westmorland counties.

Burning is restricted to between 8 p.m. and 8 a.m. in Carleton, Northumberland, Sunbury and York counties, while northern New Brunswick is open for burning.
