Riverview is a Pumpkin Palooza paradise

Pumpkins are the decoration of choice for a lot of homes and businesses in Riverview.

It’s all part of Harvest Fest, which is planned for this weekend.

Town Spokesperson Ashly Barron says Pumpkin Palooza displays show off creativity, “Either painting the pumpkin to look like a group of M&M’s, sometimes people go full Halloween and have their skeletons and spiders and different things out. Other people like to do more of a fall display.”

Many of the participants signed up to take part, and were provided kits by the Town of Riverview, which may have included bales of hay, a pumpkin and corn stalks. The rest was up to them to decide what to do with them.

Past participants often try to create bigger and better displays than the previous year.

“Our most creative Pumpkin Palooza participants, who participate every year, are used to people slowing down or slowing down in their cars to check out their displays,” Barron said.
