Ahead of the Yarmouth Mariners home opener Friday, their leadership group has been named.

Twenty-year-old forward Justin Garneau was named captain for the 2025/26 season.

Garneau from Quebec had 44 points in 49 games last season with the club.

Assistant captains are Ryan Loveless, Liam Dutcher and Jano Zambakdjan.

The Mariners open the season against Campbellton at 7 p.m.
