Two people will share the role of Artistic Director for the 2026 Celtic Colours International festival in Cape Breton.

The festival society has chosen Shauna Walters and Wendy MacIsaac as co-directors. They have decades of experience working in music and events.

Walters was a staff member when the festival was founded and has helped with each iteration.

MacIsaac is an award-winning touring musician and has worked as a tour manager and producer.

Co-founder Max MacDonald says he is excited for them to start.

“This is a critically important role that only two others have held in the 29 years of Celtic Colours,” says MacDonald. “Wendy and Shauna will bring a wealth of expertise and historic knowledge of the Festival as we celebrate our 30th anniversary in 2026!”
