It’s the worst drought in decades for Nova Scotia.
And it’s creating hard-times for farmers.
Agriculture minister Greg Morrow says he’s visiting farms across the province, and the pressures on them are ‘tremendous.’
He says it might take time to understand the full impact, but his team is organizing sessions for farmers to ask questions on where they can get help.
They’re also going to ask the federal government about immediate supports in place.
Morrow says farmers are the backbone of communities, and this is just the beginning of their work to help them.
