Two people from Alberta are facing charges after Ontario Provincial Police seized nearly 500 kilograms of copper wire following a single-vehicle crash on Highway 11 near Mine Centre.
Police say they responded Friday morning to a rollover that left the involved vehicle demolished.
Two occupants were treated for minor injuries.
At the scene, officers found a large quantity of copper wire cut into short pieces. In total, 490 kilograms were recovered, along with a small amount of crystal meth.

Both occupants, a 41-year-old man and a 24-year-old woman from Peace River, Alberta, were arrested and charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. They were held in custody for a bail hearing.
Police say the investigation into the origin of the copper wire is ongoing.
