Like many Canadians, Nova Scotia’s sailing ambassador is staying on this side of the U.S. border for now.

According to the Bluenose II’s social media, its trip to Massachusetts in early September is cancelled.

Instead, the vessel will turn its focus to our province’s busy tourism season, supporting our communities here.

The crew says they’re disappointed to miss the Gloucester Schooner Festival but look forward to visiting Lunenburg’s sister city again soon.
