It’s time to get out your Acadian flag.

Friday’s National Acadian Day will be a loud celebration throughout Yarmouth and Digby counties.

Several ‘Tintamarre’ parades are taking place in the region.

You’re encouraged to bring noisemakers and dress in Acadian colours.

New this year, a Tintamarre through downtown Yarmouth starting just before 6 p.m.

In West Pubnico, one is happening at 4 p.m. at the end of the pavement on Route 335, followed by a free rappie (RAH-pee) pie supper.

In East Pubnico it starts at the Hipson Bridge at 4 p.m. and goes to the lighthouse road.

The Credit Union in Wedgeport will be a starting point, down to the Tuna museum.

And in Clare, the Tintamarre will start at Universite Sainte-Anne and St. Bernard.
