Goldshore Resources is reporting positive results from drilling conducted over the winter at its Moss Lake project, southwest of Kashabowie.
Over 20,000 metres were drilled to determine further the size of gold deposits previously identified and the potential for additional resources.
Chief Executive Officer Michael Henrickson, in a video release, says some of the gold ore was found close to the surface.
“And for us, that’s important because if we can establish 150-200,000 ounces of high-grade material at surface, maybe that gets into our mill early. And obviously that’s going to help a lot with the economics,” says Hendrickson.
Drilling was partly focused on the areas where two open pits are proposed.
Hendrickson says the findings demonstrate the Moss Lake deposit is emerging.
“A lot of ounces came in. We were able to expand the depths of the pits. We were able to find new mineralized shears, join in areas between the open pits. To my mind, it’s been an extremely successful program, and we’re very happy with the results that came out.”
More drilling is planned.
The company is also preparing to release a preliminary economic assessment on the project’s potential later this fall.
