A Dartmouth man has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Halifax Police arrested the 46-year-old at Shubie Park Campground last weekend for breach of probation.

He was violating an order to not be in public parks where children under 16 could be present.

The order stemmed from a prior conviction with Calgary Police.

The man’s vehicle was seized, along with electronic devices, and he was charged with possession based on what was found.

He was scheduled to appear in court last weekend.
