New life for a book store in the HRM.
The John W. Doull bookstore in Dartmouth was in danger of closing if they didn’t come up with $20,000 in back rent by Friday.
In an update Saturday, the bookstore says they’ve received enough support to stay open for another month.
They are closed through the weekend but will be open Monday morning at 10.
Worker Jacob Smith told Acadia News earlier this week they plan to change a lot of things about how the store was run.
He says the community seems to be coming together.
The store is the largest used bookstore in Atlantic Canada, with lots of rare and out-of-print finds
