The water levels on Rainy and Namakan Lakes are being kept within the ranges they are now.
Conditions were abnormally dry this spring.
Recent rainfall improved conditions, but the International Rainy-Lake of the Woods
Watershed Board’s Water Levels Committee says it is making no immediate change to where lake levels should be.
The Committee says it is closely monitoring conditions
Dam operators have been regularly adjusting outflows to keep levels within the middle range of their rule curves.
Rainy Lake is sitting in the middle of its range, while Namakan is at the low end.
