Some VIP tables still available for Quest

The popular singing contest, Quest for the Best, returns to Fort Frances this week.

Twenty contestants will take to the stage for a chance to win cash prizes totalling $3,000.

Fort Frances Chamber of Commerce’s Heather Johnson says they are marking the event’s 30th year.

“We have such a really good lineup this year,” says Johnson.

“It’s a great blend of past singers and new singers. We have five rookies this year, so that’s going to be great. Five new people to the stage. And we have one that the last time that they had performed was in 2016.”

There are a couple of VIP ticket packages available that give you front-row seats and other perks for Friday evening’s event.

They can be acquired by calling the Chamber office.

Other tickets will be available at the door.

Johnson is expecting another great turnout.

She says the event has been well-supported.

“I was saying that actually to somebody the other day. We’ve been doing this for 30 years, and we still get as big a turnout now as we did when we first started.”

The event starts at 7:30 p.m. under the tent as part of the Fort Frances Canadian Bass Championship.

93.1 The Border’s own Johnathan Price will be back as host.
