Provincial Police have arrested a 28-year-old following the assault of two people in Fort Frances.

OPP says they were called about a domestic assault at a home late Saturday night.

When officers approached a man, he produced what appeared to be a gun and pointed it toward them.

Police were able to calm the situation and arrest the individual without anyone being hurt.

The Fort Frances man is now facing several charges related to the assaults and his interaction with police.

He was being held in custody pending a court appearance in Thunder Bay on Sunday.
