Provincial police have halted the distribution of a shipment of cocaine.

OPP says 110 grams of cocaine and $1,200 in Canadian cash were discovered in a vehicle that was stopped on Highway 11 in Alberton township, west of Fort Frances.

A 47-year-old man from Fort Frances and a 41-year-old Rainy River First Nations woman were arrested on drug trafficking charges.

The man was also charged with possession of stolen property after police found a television that had been reported stolen.

He was also charged with failing to comply with a previous probation order.

The two individuals were scheduled to make court appearances on Friday.
