Halifax firefighters have been on the scene of a house collapsing in Spryfield.

According to a Halifax Professional Firefighters social media post just before 9:00 a.m. Friday, crews responded to reports of a structural collapse at a home under construction on Colonial Crescent.

They say one person who was reportedly trapped had been extricated before crews arrived.

Firefighters stabilized the scene and provided first aid until EHS paramedics took over.

No word on the nature of the person’s injuries.
