Fuel prices dropped across N.B.

New Brunswickers are getting a bit of relief at the fuel pumps.

Regular self-serve gasoline fell by 5.9 cents per litre, bringing the new maximum price to around $1.41.

Diesel dipped by 1.9 cents, with a new maximum of $1.54 per litre.

Furnace oil is now priced at $1.43 per litre.

Propane saw a small increase of 0.8 cents, bringing the maximum to $1.06 per litre.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.40 to $1.44 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $1.53 and $1.57 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.45 per litre, diesel costs around $1.61 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.14 per litre.

The New Brunswick Energy and Utilities Board adjusts prices every Friday at 12:01 a.m.
