Police are looking for information after a woman was sexually assaulted on a trail in Cole Harbour.

RCMP say it happened Tuesday around 9 p.m. between Poplar Drive and Cranberry Crescent.

The 44-year-old victim was approached from behind assaulted and then sexually assaulted.

She suffered minor injuries when fighting off her attacker.

The suspect is described as a man, 6’0, 230 lbs with brown eyes, a goatee, wearing a black hoodie that had a white logo and a black ball cap.
