Fuel prices jumped overnight across New Brunswick.

Regular self-serve gasoline climbed by nearly five cents.

The new maximum price has been set at around $1.46 per litre.

Diesel prices increased by four cents to a new maximum of $1.54 per litre.

Most local stations are selling both fuels for a few cents less.

The most you will now pay for heating oil is $1.43 per litre, an increase of more than three cents.

Propane prices remain essentially unchanged at a maximum of $1.04 per litre.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.45 to $1.49 per litre, while diesel is selling for between $1.56 and $1.60 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.55 per litre, diesel costs around $1.67 per litre, and home heating oil is selling for a maximum of $1.19 per litre.
