The Municipality of Lunenburg is encouraging residents to help identify areas with poor cell service as part of a broader effort to improve connectivity across the region.

This comes as the Province of Nova Scotia moves forward with a nearly $50 million investment to upgrade rural cell infrastructure. To help guide where those improvements are most needed, a new survey has been launched, allowing residents to report unreliable or spotty service.

The survey is quick to complete and allows users to pinpoint specific locations where they experience dropped calls, slow data, or no signal.

The survey is now open and can be filled out online.

Similar initiatives are also underway in Queens and Shelburne Counties.
