Sea Dogs to pick 1st , Mooseheads 3rd in Q Draft

The Saint John Sea Dogs are on the clock in the QMJHL draft.

The Sea Dogs hold the first overall pick for Friday night’s festivities in Quebec City.

It’s the first of three first rounders for Saint John, they also hold the 10th and 18th overall selections.

The Halifax Mooseheads are looking to get a star player with the third overall pick.

The Cape Breton Eagles won’t pick until the second round where they have three selections, the defending champion Moncton Wildcats have one pick in the first five rounds.

The first round takes place Friday, with rounds 2 through 12 happening Saturday.
