An 18-year-old man is dead after a single-vehicle crash in Yarmouth County.

It happened in Lower West Pubnico on Highway 335 Thursday night, when a vehicle left the road and came to a rest in the ditch.

The victim was the driver, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 21-year-old man who was a passenger in the vehicle suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital.

The victim and passenger are both from the Pubnico area.

RCMP say their investigation is ongoing, a collision reconstructionist performed work at the scene.
