A second mobile home in Moncton’s north end has been extensively damaged by fire.
Moncton Fire were called to the Ryder trailer park off Mountain Road at around 10 p.m. Thursday.
Platoon Chief Paul Bruens says flames could be seen coming from the residence when they arrived.
“It was an older manufactured home. Fire extended quickly into the structure and caused a lot of damage. There was extensive damage to the inside and exterior of the trailer.”
Fifteen firefighters helped to battle the blaze. They required a water tanker from Station 5, because there are no hydrants in the park.
There’s no word on a cause yet.
Bruens adds that no one was home when the fire broke out, but one resident has been left displaced.
Codiac RCMP, Ambulance NB and NB Power also responded.
A boarded-up vacant mobile home in the same park was also extensively damaged by fire on Tuesday..
