Just as expected, gas prices are up for this week.

The maximum cost for regular self-serve increased 1.4 cents a litre to around $1.48.

Diesel and furnace oil prices are also up, but not by much.

Diesel rose by just 0.1 cent to a maximum of $1.46, furnace oil increased by 0.3 cents a litre to around $1.34.

The Energy and Utilities Board made its weekly price adjustments at midnight on Friday.

In Nova Scotia, regular self-serve ranges from $1.45 to $1.49 per litre, while diesel sells for between $1.41 and $1.45 per litre.

On Prince Edward Island, the price for regular self-serve is around $1.50 per litre, diesel costs around $1.49 per litre, and home heating oil sells for a maximum of $1.11 per litre.
