A 23-year-old Yarmouth man has been charged after an apartment fire last year.

It happened in August on Kirk Street, the fire was contained to one unit but caused damage throughout the building.

After a months-long investigation, RCMP arrested the suspect on Sunday.

He’s facing charges of arson, disregard for human life, mischief and more.

He remains in custody after a court appearance Monday.
