2 facing stunting charges, 1 happened on Macdonald Bridge

Two drivers are facing stunting charges; one incident was on the Macdonald Bridge.

Halifax Police say it happened just before 11 a.m., Sunday.

Officers clocked a 37-year-old man driving at speed of 110km/h in a 50 km/h zone heading over the harbour span toward Halifax.

The second was Monday around 3:20 p.m. on Victoria Road in Dartmouth.

A 19-year-old woman was observed speeding at 119 km/h in a 60 km/h zone at Highway 111.

Both were issued tickets for stunting.

A stunting charge is laid when a vehicle is driving 50 km/h over the posted speed limit.

The fine in Nova Scotia is $2,422.50 and six points assigned to the drivers’ record.
