A hold and secure at St. Ignatius High School has been lifted.

On Monday, the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board posted to Facebook about the security measure following a morning threat made against the school.

An update to the post said the Thunder Bay Police Service has identified and made contact with an individual involved with making the threat and has deemed the school safe.

Classes at the school are resuming as normal for the rest of the day.

The board initially posted to its social media about the situation on Monday morning just before 11:00 a.m.
