A long-time Yarmouth firefighter is being laid to rest.

Retired Platoon Chief Lynn Seeley passed away last week.

He began as a volunteer firefighter in 1977, and made it a career in 1990.

He retired in April, 2023 after more than four decades of service.

Firefighters in Yarmouth will march Wednesday morning at 9:30 from the fire hall on Pleasant Street to the Beacon United Church for his funeral service.

The Yarmouth Professional Firefighters Association says Seeley was a mentor to many, and always made sure the crew was heard, supported and protected.
