A teacher from the Tri-County Regional Centre for Education is facing sex charges that involved a youth.
RCMP say it was in February when a teacher who was on staff at Maple Grove Education Centre had inappropriate contact with a former student.
The 52-year-old woman was on leave at the time and remains on leave.
The suspect from Yarmouth has been arrested for the following:
- Sexual Assault
- Sexual Interference
- Sexual Exploitation
She has been released on conditions and will appear in court May 12.
The investigation is ongoing, but at this time officers to not believe there are other victims.
